Current Accounts Business Design Authority Lead

WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED PROGRAMME-LEVEL BUSINESS DESIGN AUTHORITY LEAD, WITH A PROVEN TRACK RECORD OF SUCCESSFULLY IMPLEMENTING AND MANAGING THIS FUNCTION AND THE GRAVITAS TO ENGAGE AND CHALLENGE SENIOR STAKEHOLDERS TO ENGAGE WITH US ON ONE OF OUR RETAIL BANKING CLIENTS.

This role is expected to lead and manage all aspects of the overall design of the clients Current Account programme.

This requires experience as follows:

Set Up and Run Formal Design Authority Function

- Experience of defining and putting in place a programme business design authority, including the establishment of control and governance frameworks
- Management of a design authority function, with clear examples of where this role has helped a programme to achieve its initially specified outcomes:
- Approval of design and standards
- Control of the overall design and maintaining focus on business needs
- Defining and communicating a standard design process
- End-to-End Process Management
- Overseeing and leading the development of As Is and To Be process definitions
- Driving the implementation of the To Be designs

Experience of Wider Programme and Project Management

- Experience of managing large FS projects and change initiatives using formal methodologies and life cycles
- Experience working in delivery focused, fast paced agile environment
- Experience in stakeholder management at a senior level
- Definition and planning of projects/programmes in conjunction with external suppliers
- Pull together scope and business cases including financials and project plans
- Managing visibly against the programme plan, making changes where necessary and escalating to the appropriate governance body where necessary
- Working with internal/external stakeholders and suppliers to design innovative solutions and establish requirements and priorities
- Working with programme office to establish resourcing requirements
- Ensuring the relevant project delivers on time and within budget whilst remaining aligned to the strategy and Everyone's Better Off
- Being responsible for Quality Assurance & financial management of projects
- Assess, monitor and manage programme risks, issues, dependencies and assumptions using a RAID log

This is an opportunity to work with a Practicus delivery team and requires ideally someone with consultancy experience, however will consider those who have capability in all the areas above.
