CTO

My client a gaming firm in central London are looking for a CTO/Technical Team Lead.

Role Duties:Decide how technology fits into the overall goals of the business and how it can be used to support goals and deliver on them efficiently.Define and communicate the technical vision and delivery strategy, including selecting suitable technologies and making build vs. buy and staffing decisions.Identify and implement emerging technologies and engineering practices that will improve efficiency and productivity, or expand capabilities.Scale up rapidly, and lead, multiple cross-disciplinary engineering teams.Make strategic tradeoffs between short-term and long-term business needs.Take responsibility for information management and access, ensuring that this firm meets its legal and regulatory requirements at all times.

Essential Experience

Significant experience driving the strategic direction of an engineering group that builds and operates a high-traffic consumer-facing web service, and the analytics that support

Experience of mobile web technologies

Experience of leading mass recruitment campaigns you may be required to hire 15+ people over a short time span

Experience leading agile engineering teams in a fast-paced environment; strong understanding of the motives behind agile development as well as agile principles and methodologies.

Broad knowledge of technologies and components, particularly open source technologies; and experience evaluating and selecting technologies for specific use cases

Ability to discuss technical choices with engineers, and to translate these choices into a business objectives discussion with business leaders and executives

Flexibility to travel one day per week within UK and Europe
