Cryptography SME

A Cryptography Subject Matter Expert is required for one of the world's largest financial services institutions and will be accountable for key and certificate management.

Rate: Up to £700p/d
Location: Northampton
Contract Length: 4 Months Initially

The Cryptography Subject Matter Expert must have experience of:

*Cryptography Key Management
*Cryptographic Key Renewals
*Card Schemes/Payments Knowledge
*Implementation of PKI, authentication, certificates,
*A strong knowledge of Cryptographic Protocols & algorithms
*A qualification such as CISSP or an MSC in Information Security desirable
*Excellent understanding of security concepts and technologies in the areas of Cryptography (ie key management systems, PKI, HSMs, application cryptography, key material handling, standard and non-standard cryptographic algorithms)
*Excellent understanding of Cryptographic Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) and their use within cryptographic operations.
*Excellent understanding of PCI-DSS and other applicable standards and controls
*Basic understanding of the main cryptographic algorithms. (eg Rivest-Shamir-Adleman (RSA), DES, Diffie-Hellman, and their uses in the Financial Services Industry today. Including a high level understanding of algorithms' strengths, weaknesses, vulnerabilities, restrictions, key lengths that can be used and common applications

The role holder will support the ongoing management of implemented solutions and provide guidance to ensure projects met the defined Cryptography standards. The Cryptography Subject Matter Expert will act as the point of contract on various projects and co-ordinate and manage Cryptographic Key Change activities.
