Clients can choose to bareboat with or without a skipper, or join one of our popular flotillas. These are the ultimate in social sailing, with the perfect balance between independent sailing and unobtrusive support.
We are currently recruiting for our Cruising Instructor/ Skipper positions available in Croatia for Summer 2013 ONLY. The reason for this is a work permit application process that takes place for all successful Skippers which needs to begin in October for all successful applicants.
The positions available in Croatia are for Cruising Instructors at our Kremik Base. There are full season (April to November) and 3 month positions available.
For all other Skipper/ Cruising Instructor positions in Greece, Turkey and Italy, please register your interest using reference MAY001.
About The Role
Providing professional Instruction to all levels whilst ensuring a safe sailing environment. All employees work as a team to offer a high level of customer service at all times.
Your main duties will centre around the yachts, the base and ports of call. Working hours vary and you must be flexible to cover operational requirements.
In this fulfilling and exciting role you will be required to be responsible for and undertake the following duties:
Deliver RYA courses to the highest standard complying with the RYA regulations
Deliver Company specific courses as per standards, polices and procedures
Liaise with Chief Yacht master Instructor any maintenance requirements or damage
Be responsible for the over all cleaning and set up of the yachts
Ensure correct paperwork is completed as per local laws and regulations
Run effective rescue boat cover
Running of weekly Yacht Races and mini-flotillas
When on duty maintain a lookout over the whole sailing area
Provide excellent customer service at all time
Carry out transfer day duties, such as representing the company at the airport
Carry out other duties within your ability as requested by your line manager
You will be required to be flexible in your job role and may be required to move between different resorts or departments according to operational needs.
About You
RYA Yachtmaster Offshore with Commercial Endorsement
RYA Cruising Instructor
Powerboat level 2 (desirable)Safety Boat Drivers certificate (desirable)
Knowledge of health & safety legislation
Ability to work as a reliable member of the team
Highly motivated individual
Good communication skills- oral and written
Excellent customer service skills
First Aid certificate
