CRO Change - Credit Risk Business Analyst

Currently we are looking for a Business Analyst to join our client's team in Zurich.

The CRO Change organisation consists of functional groups representing risk types eg Market Risk, Credit Risk and Strategic Data and Reporting Platforms. Strategic platform teams are responsible for delivery of strategic shared data sourcing, data quality management, reporting, analysis and workflow solutions.

The CRO Change Reporting Platform team consists of business analysts and subject matter experts in risk reporting and analytics and is involved in agile and waterfall delivery.

Their core responsibilities include:

- Acting as product owners and/or product owner representatives in agile sprints
- Identifying and documenting business requirements from key business stakeholders
- Overseeing business testing and user acceptance testing activity
- Conducting deep dive analyses, gap analyses and proposing responses
- Working in partnership with key stakeholders and programs to define business solutions that deliver requirements
- Responsibility for timely resolution of ongoing regulatory and industry group outcomes and other events on business requirements
- Providing direction and oversight to business analysts developing functional specifications that meet business requirements
- Working effectively in and leading working groups with diverse business stakeholders to ensure requirements and priorities are successfully met
- Providing up-to-date status report throughout the release cycle

As CRO Change Reporting Platform Credit Risk Business Analyst/SME you will work as part of our client's team in Zurich to deliver a new risk reporting platform to Credit Risk managers and Risk Analytics and Reporting professionals supporting Credit Risk managers.

The role involves:

- Close engagement with Credit Risk and Risk Analytics and Reporting function to define their requirements and represent them in the delivery of their reporting infrastructure utilizing existing and future components of the IT architecture including risk data sourcing, aggregation, consolidation, reporting, visualization and workflow components
- Ensuring that the business requirements are defined in line with the CRO target operating model and addressing existing 'pain points'' issues and gaps against applicable regulatory requirements, and in compliance with internal policies and procedures
- Effective liaison with IT professionals working as part of the joint Change/IT delivery teams
- Adhering to project delivery methodologies agreed for specific programs eg waterfall and agile
- Development of uses stories, requirements specifications, functional specifications, business presentations, report mock-ups, dashboard wireframes, data mapping, testing and training documentation
- Syndication of documentation to all the relevant stakeholders and achieving necessary approvals
- Identification, analysis and resolution management of risks and issues impacting project delivery
- Impact analysis of changes to systems and process, as well as changes to scope
- User acceptance testing of the technical solutions
- Training of end users

THE CANDIDATE MUST HAVE:

- Excellent understanding of credit risk discipline from reporting processes and workflows perspective with direct experience in credit risk system implementations
- 3-5 years business process analysis and change experience in a similar role within a large financial institution
- Proficient understanding of front to back systems, data, calculations, processes and current regulatory regimes and requirements within risk functions of International Banks and Wealth Management Organisations with specific experience in one of the following in the Credit Risk domain: Swiss Bank, Private Bank, Corporate and Commercial Bank, Investment Bank environment
- Effective stakeholder management, experience in facing senior business stakeholders, and ability to engage with quantitative experts
- Significant experience of embedding new risk management systems in a complex organisations
- Solid understanding of Regulator delivery programs in Risk functions
- Track record of sourcing and defining clear and comprehensive requirements
- Experience in designing operating models, processes and control functions
- Must be able to communicate business concepts and proposals in English (both written and verbal) with all levels of management in a clear and concise manner. German would be an advantage for stakeholder engagement in addition to English
- Strong validation skills. Able to iterate through requirements in an agile manner
- Reliable, analytical and flexible personality with a structured and analytical approach
- Pragmatic, can-do attitude and ability to work independently under tight timelines and cost constraints
- Self-motivated with a genuine sense of ownership and accountability for tasks. Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks. Proven ability to work with little supervision
- Good planning and organisational skills

- Experience working with and reporting to senior stakeholders across financial and operational functions of the business
- Knowledge of full project life cycle
- Keep yourself updated with the risk culture

OTHER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum university undergraduate degree, ideally postgraduate or relevant professional qualifications.
- Recognized relevant professional qualification (eg Prince 2, PMI, ACA, CIMA,
- CFA, MBA, CA, risk certification).
- Familiarity with business processes, financial products, credit risk management and regulatory requirements (eg BCBS239, etc).
- Proficient SQL, MS Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, SharePoint.
