RESPONSIBILITIES

The CRM Email Developer will be responsible for managing email campaign production, including dynamic content, for the CRM programmes we manage for our Train Operating Company (TOC) clients.

This role requires the implementation of best practice initiatives, performance monitoring and issue resolution to ensure we reach the highest standards of email activity. Your attention to detail and ability to manage your time effectively, whilst complimenting the existing team of high achieving individuals who take great pride in their work, will be of great importance.

You will be technically strong and analytical, yet creative with a strong eye for detail and an awareness of design best practice. You will be comfortable with liaising with clients, providing constructive feedback when needed and managing delivery schedules.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Create and maintain dynamic email content (using Javascript where needed) including the use of data values for personalisation, dynamic creative and offer variations
- Create and update HTML emails, often using existing templates. To include testing for spam scoring and rendering across all major email clients and browsers.
- Establish best practices for exceptional email deliverability across multiple IPs and resolve any delivery issues
- Implement complex content, subject line and segmentation testing within email campaigns
- Perform reporting and detailed analyses of deliverability across brands, programs, campaigns, and segments, providing actionable recommendations for improvement
- Monitor email activity to proactively identify problems, and measure brand performance relative to spam complaints, bounces, spam traps, blacklisting and spam/junk filtering
- Provide a problem solving and point of escalation' technical support function with regards to resolving email rendering and appearance issues

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Essential

- Educated to degree level
- Minimum of 3 years' experience
- Self-directed and self-motivated with a demonstrated work ethic and ability to perform under pressure to meet deadlines.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Essential

- Expertise in all aspects of email marketing including coding, deliverability, bounce handling, etc
- Good knowledge and experience coding HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and XML.
- Understanding of SPF, Domain Keys and related deliverability technologies would be advantageous
- Strong familiarity with relational databases and associated concepts
- Good knowledge of spam filtering technologies
- Outstanding attention to detail and analytical
