CRM Design Engineer

IT Alliance, an IT Managed Services and Outsourcing Company, are looking to hire CRM Design Engineers on behalf of a large software company based in Dublin. We partner up with large multinational companies based in Ireland and the UK. The successful candidates will be employees of IT Alliance, working on our client site. We are looking for talented Engineers to design, build and operate large scale business oriented services for our client. The positions require strategic thinking and hands-on technical delivery. The ideal candidates must be deep technologists with proven track record building large scalable services, creative thinker, problem solver, teacher and learner. The successful candidates will be at ease leading incident investigations and must be capable of identifying root cause in a complex, distributed environment.

We are looking for Engineers who are ready to take on big challenges and who are capable of working in a multi-platform environment. You'll work on some of our hardest problems, building high quality, architecturally sound systems that are aligned with business needs. You'll think globally when building systems, ensuring we build high performing, scalable systems that fit well together.

Responsibilities:

Influence feature design, architecture, standards and processes to ensure Security, Performance, Operability and Scale.

Conduct performance analysis/tuning and ensure accurate service capacity planning.

Identify gaps in current technologies, processes and recommend improvements.

Build tools, develop efficient DevOps processes, and contribute to our knowledge base.

Participate in on-call rotation duties.

Plan and conduct proof of concept projects with new technologies and processes.

Optimize monitoring and self-healing capabilities.

Collaborate at depth with peers in Development and Program Management.

Required Experience and Skills:

Strong analytical capabilities.

Deep hands-on technical expertise in large scale systems engineering and complex distributed systems architectures.

Demonstrated expertise in web services, virtualization, cloud concepts, REST, JSON, XML, MySQL, PHP, LDAP, & Object Oriented methodologies.

Solid understanding of network routing, load balancing, and Internet transport protocols.

Experience with Anycast, Global Load Balancing, and CDNs.

Experience managing complex projects, with significant bottom-line impact.

Demonstrated understanding of instrumentation, monitoring, & deployment design principles and best practices.

Proven experience in leading software development teams to deliver industry-leading technical solutions with the highest quality.

5+ years' experience in large scale Internet service design & implementation.

Experience with continuous delivery & configuration management

Ability to manage multiple priorities, commitments & projects.

Demonstrated passion for customer experience & usability, including successful delivery of customer self-service tools and automated management/optimization of services.
