Credit Specialist - Mortgages - Glasgow

Empiric are working with the Private Banking division of a Major Global Banking organisation with key operational presence in Glasgow.

They are currently looking for Credit specialists with experience in mortgages to work in their Glasgow offices.

You will carry out a number of key roles including:

- Management of mortgage clients in potential financial difficulties
- Proactive pre and post-expiry management of interest only mortgage clients
- Assessment of client financial health
- Non-standard covenant monitoring
- Arrears management and recommendations to further support or action
- Transaction review sign offs
- Production of credit reports, assessments & recommendations

You must have previous experience of credit and financial analysis and be familiar with private clients. You must have a high level of understanding of mortgage products and pricing and have the ability to demonstrate strong client facing skills from previous experience within a banking environment. Ideally, you will have experience of implementing initiatives and project work and have both offshore & onshore KYC/AML experience.

You should have strong credit product knowledge including UK regulated & investment property Mortgages, as well as a good understanding of end-to-end credit life cycle as you will work closely with teams in Front Office, Credit Risk, Support & Recoveries, and Credit Operations.

CeMAP qualification is desirable.

This is an initial 6 month contract role with potential for extension and a day rate of up to £275 day
