Projektbeschreibung

The Wholesale Corporate Credit Team is Barclay's' main credit sanctioning team covering larger corporate clients.

The team is responsible for assessing, sanctioning and monitoring credit risk exposures to counter parties with relationships managed by Investment Bank and Corporate Bank.

The team is engaging with Origination teams across Europe to determine client requirements, structuring facilities, and ensuring limits are commensurate with Credit appetite.

Corporate credit analysis and preparation, presentation and recommendation of credit proposals to relevant sanctioning level. The role will also involve ongoing monitoring and review of credit exposures.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

CREDIT RISK MANAGEMENT

- The jobholder will be responsible for reviewing/undertaking credit analysis and sanctioning/recommending exposure and exposure policies within acceptable risk parameters for a portfolio of clients within the Global Corporates space. Each client group is covered by two Credit Risk Officers, the senior Credit Responsible Executive ( CRE ) and supported by a Sector Head ( SH ).

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

- Sanctioning of exposures and/or recommendation of limits/reviews to higher sanctioning authorities/committees.
- Present certain annual reviews and new money requests to a credit committee composed of senior sanctioners.
- Monitoring of allocated portfolio and industries for material developments affecting credit quality and the initiation of appropriate action. This will be based on:Financial risk analysis (balance sheet, P&L and cash flow) of clients including supporting the annual review process.
- Assessment of management and business risk.
- Analysis of the credit risk taken by the Barclays Group to customers/industries across a wide range of investment and commercial banking products.
- Financial modelling or stress testing in support of requests/transactions.
- Industry sector/client specific research.

Attend business committee and uphold a regular dialogue with different stakeholders (Sales, IBD, portfolio management, legal, operations, etc.)

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

CANDIDATES MUST HAVE A STRONG credit analysis and sanctioning background within Investment Banking. Have previous experience in writing credit papers, financial risk analysis exposure and Sanctioning authority.

Analytical and numerate in support of Corporate Credit Analysis, including appreciation of:

- General accounting principles
- Cash flow and balance sheet analysis and interpretation
- Financial models and modelling techniques
- Risk measurement and hedge management techniques
- Transaction experience
- Sanctioning experience
- Product knowledge across Corporate Banking and Investment Banking
- Strong communications and presentation skills
- IT skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
