Credit Risk Analysts - Contract

My Edinburgh based banking client is currently looking for multiple contract credit risk analysts that will be responsible for maintaining an effective Credit Risk management framework that enables early identification, assessment, management, monitoring and reporting of credit risks to the Head of Retail Credit Risk.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

- To develop, implement and maintain the Credit portfolio risk strategies for new business and customer management.
- In particular the development of an effective framework for evaluating the current and future portfolio strategies as well as the optimal size and characteristics of the UK good and bad book, including the management of the growing mortgage book through the economic cycle.
- To identify and action key measures for optimisation, to drive changes to credit risk strategies and consequently, to drive loss rate optimisation of high risk segments, the elimination of toxic cells, whilst maximising returns within risk appetite limits.

EXPERIENCE:

- Experience of portfolio risk analytics
- Knowledge of SAS and SQL to interrogate large volumes of data
- Mortgage related product knowledge
