Risk Analyst/Consultant with Credit Cards experience - Scotland - Market leading organisation - £400-£500 - 3month + contract - urgent requirement and start date ASAP!

Excellent longer-term contract opportunity for a competent Risk Analyst/Consultant with prior and proven experience of working within credit card programmes/projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned contractor as this role offers the opportunity to join an expanding company at a very exciting time, and will be responsible for supporting the Unsecured Credit Risk team to develop and monitor the day to day management of credit risk within portfolio performance and insight. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing guidance and understanding, through the credit risk management framework, of the performance of the credit card portfolio to support current and future business strategy.

Working with a team of permanent employees, this role offers a SME (subject Matter Expect) responsibility for the management of unsecured lending portfolios across the organisation.

ROLE:

- Support the development and manage an appropriate credit risk management framework for the credit card portfolio.
- Support the development and implementation of appropriate risk appetite metrics.
- Provide guidance on key credit risk issues to Executive Management through the appropriate governance structure.
- Key liaison with Bank of America to gain insight and understanding of the performance of the portfolio.
- Provide technical expertise in matters of unsecured credit risk and in cross functional teams and projects.
- Representing Risk in the detailed discussion and debate around the high level and detailed business requirements for new build risk systems and decisioning assets.
- Co-ordinating inputs and views staff from across Risk and the wider business in the engagement process with external suppliers throughout the design, build, testing and implementation life cycle.
- Interpreting and evaluating design and implementation options and recommend solutions to the Risk Leadership Team and appropriate wider business projects.
- Responsibility for the implementation, monitoring and reporting of new lending decisioning logic, in line with corporate objectives and regulatory parameters.
- Reviewing, challenge and implement appropriate combination of high quality statistical models, policy rules and system infrastructure to produce a straightforward customer experience whilst delivering an appropriate assessment of credit risk for lending decisions throughout the customer life cycle.
- Developing Credit Risk Policy for approval, including confirming, or proposing changes to ensure, Responsible Lending Policy is appropriate and fair to customer's needs.
- Place Responsible Lending Principles at the centre of the unsecured credit policy development process and thereby provide recommendations for enhancement to credit policy and decisioning infrastructure through application of the credit policy change process to the appropriate governance groups.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- Financial Services experience
- Proven experience within Credit Card programmes/projects
- Proven track record of executing significant initiatives to improve performance and financial returns
- Proven leader of complex business areas
- Excellent stakeholder engagement
- Strong SAS experience
