Experis IT Switzerland is currently on the search for an Operational Risk Consultant to join one of their clients, an NGO, based in Geneva.

YOUR ROLE

The Operational Risk Monitoring Consultant will play a key role in establishing regular monitoring and oversight of process controls and will provide support in operationalizing this function for selected key business processes.

JOB DESCRIPTION/KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

MAIN TASKS

Under guidance the Consultant will:

- Identify and evaluate existing process control monitoring activities already in place for key business processes to evaluate their design and effectiveness and summarize key findings to inform the roll out of a monitoring and oversight function for selected processes;
- Contribute to the development of a framework for monitoring and oversight of key business processes, including principles and roles and responsibilities across the first and second lines of defense;
- Provide support and advice to process owners in selecting key controls and defining key risk and performance indicators for monitoring, as well as in identifying conditions for risk-based exception reporting for selected key business processes;
- Coordinate with process owners in defining reporting requirements and designing fit-for-purpose monitoring and exception reports, leveraging automated controls where applicable to efficiently manage the reporting process;
- Summarize emerging risks and key findings from ongoing monitoring and oversight of process controls to inform periodic reporting on the effectiveness of internal controls for key business processes.

TO DELIVER THE REQUIRED RESULTS, IT'S ESSENTIAL THAT YOU HAVE:

- At least three years' experience in operational risk management, preferably in a large financial institution, controls monitoring and testing,
- Experience in project management and a solid track record of working under tight timelines to deliver high quality commitments on time.
- Experience in developing/monitoring internal control processes in large organizations.
- Experience in conducting consulting or advisory engagements with a focus on operational efficiency or business process improvement.
- Experience working with Salesforce or other large database software and/or data analytics tools to generate automated reports, including ones for monitoring of operational performance.
- Experience working with Tableau or other Business Intelligence tools to generate automated reports/data visualizations.
- Understanding of risk management and risk analysis.
