Projektbeschreibung

JOB PURPOSE:
Manage a part of the IPS sales ledger ensuring payments are made on due date, credit limits are adhered to, customer queries are responded to and cash books reconciled in accordance with company accounting timetable.

JOB DUTIES:
Maintenance of the credit insurance policy/credit limits, maintenance of the Dunning process to ensure customers pay to agreed terms, responding urgently to customer requests ie sorting queries, providing copies etc to ensure funds are received in month due and ensuring accounts are placed on hold in accordance with our credit policy regarding overdue and exceeded credit limits.

Provide detailed cash forecast of cash due for each month in accordance with month end timetable CAT Treasury. This document is used by the credit controller to manage the collection of cash throughout the month.

Duties also include; Daily posting & allocation of cash received from customers, follow up actions where payments have not been made on due date (by phone, e-mail, fax etc), Liaise with Credit Insurer and/or legal if payments are not made and may require meeting with sales or customer visits.

On a daily basis the jobholder is required to cover & support other key activities within the department:
Updating & reconciling cashbooks, making submissions to Financing Banks & CAT Finance, monthly AR/GL reconciliations, prepare management reporting, Sarbanes Oxley compliance reviews and support 6 Sigma Projects.

The position frequently provides technical support on day to day issues to internal and external customers.

The position's primary customers are external. External contacts include various customers and vendors throughout worldwide markets. The position is challenged to quickly and correctly identify problems. The incumbent generally resolves issues by following departmental guidelines or applying a solution that worked in the past. Impacts key quality goals including Customer Satisfaction, Continuous Improvement, Timeliness, Accuracy, Efficiency, Cost Savings, Process Quality, Office Certification, Other Measures, Sarbanes Oxley compliance. etc.

Limited travel required (Less than 5% of working time).

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:
The position requires knowledge of accounting, financial accounting, and strong analytical skills. A background in pricing, general accounting, and/or controls is desirable. Personal computer skills and familiarity with various software packages is required. The position typically requires 2 years of technical school, an apprenticeship program, a junior college diploma, or the equivalent in on-the-job training. Membership of the institute of Credit management or Institute of Export is desirable. In addition, three to five years of job-related experience are typically required. Position is in frequent contact with people outside work group to give or obtain information. It is important for incumbent to clearly express themselves.
