Credit and Collections Analyst

JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Gather, prepare & analyze data to lead status meetings on high dollar, high risk, or major account customers with internal & external customers which may include all levels of the organization.
- First point of contact for Credit & Collections team members to provide direction on credit & collection activities, including credit decisions on held orders, reviewing of accounts delegated to ensure accounts are reviewed timely and action is being taken appropriately to resolve open Accounts Receivable.
- Analyze aging reports and perform collection activities on complex past due accounts. Work with customers, account managers and customer service team to resolve issues attributing to credit or account delinquency to ensure extension of credit lines are appropriate & bad debt exposure is limited, escalating any concerns to supervisor timely.
- Partner with supervisor and vendor specialist to ensure understanding of off-shore processes and procedures & communicate off-shore procedures and process changes to the team.
- Partner with collection agencies to provide requested information in a timely manner. Present settlement & payment offers to appropriate internal parties for approval.
- Assist with projects as assigned. This includes gathering data/information, data analysis, and interaction/working with people at all levels in the organization.
- Analyze current processes and apply 'lean' concepts to identify process improvement opportunities. Partner with management to compile analysis and implement new opportunities.
- Position may include other duties as determined by the company.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
- 3 to 5 years related experience
- Requires accounts receivable knowledge & experience with intermediate problem solving skills & the ability to delegate and provide work direction to individual employees to help achieve departmental goals.
- Knowledge of SAP & Microsoft office useful.
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Business
