Credit Analysts Needed

The Team:

Retail Banking Services (RBS) Risk Management, develops, implements and continually reviews Decisioning Solutions, Policies and Procedures and provides Operational Risk and Compliance advice to manage Business Risk for the Retail Bank.

The Retail Credit Decisioning team serves our customers of the Retail Bank, through making good quality lending decisions that are right for our customers and the organisation. Each day we help our customers with Home Loan, Personal Loan, Credit Card and Personal Overdraft lending requests. In support of the Retail Bank we partner to assist our Branches, Brokers and Service Centers, to meet the financial needs of our customers.

Your Responsibilities:

- Process, verify and decision residential credit submissions within Delegated Underwriting Authority
- Ensure policy, systems, tools and procedures are in line with RBS Risk Management expectations, thereby ensuring optimal execution of credit risk management strategies and adherence to credit competency guidelines.
- You will be liaising with Branches, Brokers, Lenders, and Mobile bankers in regards to loan applications
- Encouraging and driving the identification of process improvements and assist with driving higher levels of customer satisfaction

Skills & Experience Needed:

- Underwriting experience within Retail Banking/Financial Services
- Strong working knowledge of analysis, decision and verification in regards to secured loans, with a particular focus on home loans
- Understanding of Credit Risk Management and Authorities Frameworks including Credit Management policies and practices.
- Industry qualification in a business related discipline
- Personal Credit Approval Authority (PCAA) or Underwriting equivalent
- Tertiary qualification preferred though not essential
