Credit Analyst AVP-Boston

An international bank is seeking a Credit Analyst to take on a key role in the governance of risk at the Management and Board level. As the AVP you will be managing junior staff members in order to identify, undertake, asses, estimate, manage, control, and report material risks. As the Credit Analyst you will be working within the banks enterprise risk management (ERM) framework. This framework oversees various sources of risk: Credit, Interest Rate, Liquidity, Market, Operational, and Business. The position of Credit Analyst will perform analyses of non-fund counterparties, largely corporate and insurance counterparties whom seek to do business with the bank.

ERM responsibilities:

* Establishing guidelines, programs, and standards supporting risk management policies
* Provide independent oversight of enterprise-wide adherence to risk management policies, standards, and limits
* Provide independent risk monitoring, reporting, and escalation of risk management issues and concerns

Other responsibilities:

* Conduct independent risk analyses and assessments for both large scale and the most complex entities/transactions
* Identify risk issues, strengths, and weaknesses
* Recommend an appropriate risk rating
* Coach or supervise junior staff members
* Potentially serve as credit approver for select counterparty sectors.

Credit Analyst should have the following:

* MBA in finance or a related field
* 3-5 years of applied experience
* Excellent analytical, underwriting, credit structuring, documentation, credit, and administration skills
* Ability to work independently, prioritize, and multitask
