Credit Analyst

This position is part of the Credit department, which assigns and approves credit lines for customers and accounts receivables. The Credit Analyst is responsible for credit and collections of assigned accounts receivable (A/R) aging. This role also processes credit applications, grants credit lines according to the credit policy, and monitors credit lines on assigned accounts, which consist of small to medium less complex reconciliation type customers. In addition, the Credit Analyst interfaces with customers to procure payment and resolve any outstanding claims, disputes or short-pays.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintains credit files and process all assigned credit revisions.
2. Analyzes customers for credit worthiness per the credit policy using multiple tools including evaluating financial statements.
3. Processes credit applications, trade inquires and outside credit references.
4. Ensures that all policies and procedures outlined in the credit policy are maintained.
5. Performs and maintains all assigned Credit Department reporting.
6. Collects, maintains, reconciles and manages assigned A/R portfolio.
7. Approves or denies customer pending order(s) based on account status in a timely manner.
8. Reviews and processes Letters of Credit to ensure accuracy.
9. Assists Cash Application when requested for the purpose of identifying payments received.
10. Completes special projects within the department as necessary.
11. Utilizes all tools available in the department for the successful management of accounts.
12. Identifies non-compliances of policies and procedures and educate other customer facing departments.
13. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience, Strong problem solving and research skills, Strong PC skills including current Microsoft Office applications
