Cost Estimator

Für unseren Kunden am Standort in Schwechat suchen wir zum sofortigen Start einen erfahrenen Cost Estimator.

Einsatzort zum Teil in Schwechat, an anderen Standorten in Deutschland oder Rumänien bzw. an den Standorten der beteiligten Ingenieurbüros - je nach Phase des Projekts. Daher ist eine große Flexibilität/Reisebereitschaft erforderlich. Zum Teil und je nach Projektphase ist auch ein überwiegender Remote-Anteil möglich. Regelmäßige Projektbesprechungen vor Ort sind jedoch erforderlich. Einstieg ins Projekt ab sofort möglich. Langfristige Zusammenarbeit ist möglich und erwünscht (3-5 Jahre)

Der Auftragnehmer ist in der Projektorganisation unseres Kunden tätig und stellt die korrekte Abwicklung seitens des vom Kunden beauftragten Ingenieurbüros sicher.

Your tasks:
* Incorporate project complexity factors into project estimates and assemble key input data such as project objectives, scope and economic analysis.
* Formulate and validate methodologies for deriving quantities from design parameters.
* Perform uncertainty analysis and sensitivities on cost estimates, reflecting analysis of project risks.
* Manage reviews and audits of cost estimates. Benchmark against historical performance, industry norms and established KPls.
* Assess project scope and main components to develop consistent building block estimates (Class 5 and 4) for each concept under consideration. Utilize technical, economical, commercial, organizational and political (TECOP) profile to establish appropriate deterministic cost contingency.
* Translate the identified project scope and engineering deliverables into the estimate of capital expenditure costs for design, procurement, construction, installation, commissioning and start-up of the hardware elements (Class 2). Estimate composed of detailed MTOs matched with detailed pricing and construction unit hours. Identify areas of uncertainty and apply appropriate allowances.
* Assist in establishing the process to collect actual cost performance, condition and normalize data for future use to develop metrics and benchmarking information.

VORAUSSETZUNGEN:

Your profile:
* University degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical or business discipline
* At least 5 years of professional experience
* With about 8-10 years of work experience in construction management an university degree is not required
* Practical experience in Engineering and Construction with an emphasis on estimating, performing and reviewing small and large estimates for downstream projects focusing on petrochemical, refinery and fractionation, pipeline, or power generation projects
* A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 2013 package and other third party software related to cost estimating (e.g. @Risk, Aspentech (ACCE, KBASE), Cleopatra, etc.)
* Fundamental understanding of cost estimating principles, techniques and industry standard tools
* International flexibility and willingness to travel, possibly for extended periods
* Excellent English/German communication skills, both written and oral
