Cost Engineer

Large Mid-Western Company seeking a Cost Control Analyst with Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or equivalent and 5-10 years experience in project controls (cost/schedule), project management and/or engineering systems. Business Objects experience is desired. Long term contract in the Central Ohio area. Per diem is not available for this position. Locals only please.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Responsible for project cost control functions for complex and large projects in a safe, efficient and economical manner.
- Will provide leadership and develops partnerships with internal customers (engineering, project management, field personnel, etc.) and external parties (suppliers/vendors, contractors, consultants, etc.).
- Responsibilities include monitoring project setup, budget forecasting, cost control and cost related project close-out functions.
- Develop, organize and set up new projects with respect to Work Orders, Tasks and Project Breakdown Structure
- Ensure cost control work activities are performed and documented in accordance with corporate guidelines.

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or equivalent
- 5-10 years experience in project controls (cost/schedule), project management and/or engineering systems.
- Business Objects experience preferred.
- Experience with consolidating project cost control reports reconciling forecasted vs. actual/incurred costs,analyzing progress and forecasting cost projections
- Experience working with project managers, financial accounting, construction managers and procurement & contracts administrative personnel.
- Experience with coordinating the development and establishing projected costs of all projects
