Corporate Treasury analyst - 6 months - Central London - Negotiable Daily Rate

A blue chip Energy and Utilities client of Hyphen is looking for a Treasury focused professional to join their site in The Strand, Central London.

The Corporate Banking team manage the company's relationship with 20 global banks, 3 credit rating agencies and international debt investors holding around £26bn of debt issued by the company. The role will be to work as a key part of this team and involves significant amount of external stakeholder management. This includes representing the company in discussions with banks, investors, analysts and rating agencies.

We are looking for someone with good understanding of the principles of finance,who would be comfortable with doing some financial analysis as part of the role. This is a 'generalist' role and the following skills, qualifications and experience would be useful but are not essential

*Previous accounting experience
*Energy market or utility background
*Good presentation and spreadsheet modelling skills
*Interest in financial markets
*Resilient to quickly changing situations

The successful candidate needs to be a confident individual who projects a competent personality and has the ability to interact with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders with varying seniority.

There are no direct reports. Key internal interfaces are the rest of UK Treasury (short and long term funding teams, back and Middle Office), US Treasury, Financial Control, Taxation, Secretariat and Legal.

Key Tasks:

Negotiate documentation for the Group's lending requirements including bank loans and other credit facilities. Ensure that documentation remains up to date, compliant and fit for purpose.

Support the formulation of recommendations to the Group Treasurer with respect to maintaining appropriate financial headroom, helping with the execution of credit facilities as required.

Put together presentations on the financial position of the Group and present this information internally as well as at meetings with debt investors, rating agencies and relationship banks.

Maintain broad business knowledge along with specific knowledge of current issues in all Treasury areas.

Manage credit rating agency relationships and undertake ratings analysis.

Input to business plan process to advise on rating agency information requirements and the likely impact of planning variables on ratings.

Assist on regulatory issues and ensure Treasury activities are undertaken in line with regulatory restrictions.
