Corporate Strategy Manager, Energy Firm, London

This team you will manage is responsible for the physical generation portfolio, which includes Power Stations, Platforms, and other physical assets. Taking into account the operational, technical and environmental risks of these assets, their goal is to understand the key drivers of asset value and how market conditions affect this over time. The team you will manage have the responsibility to model the medium to long term risks, taking into account policy and regulation changes. The end-goal is to continually optimise long-term asset strategy, propose changes to stakeholders and the board, and help drive the company forward. This is a commercial strategy role, and as such it is expected that applicants will have previous experience in a related strategy role in the energy industry. Nuclear power generation is sought after too. You should have strong analytical skills, including Excel VBA, plus a numerate. In a focal development position you will also be an excellent communicator and regularly liase with other teams internally. As a manager, team leading or previous management experience is also required.
