Corporate HSE Manager - Houston,TX

A Major Drilling Contractor that provides advanced drilling solutions to the energy industry is currently seeking a Corporate HSE Manger to join their team in Houston,TX. They are a technically innovative company providing worldwide drilling services, rental tools and project management, including rig design, construction and operations management both onshore and offshore.

SUMMARY

Plans, implements and manages organizational health, safety and environmental programs to promote safe, healthy, and incident-free work.

Corporate HSE Function

* Works with management to create HSE goals, priorities, and key performance measures.
* Oversees and monitors the effectiveness and quality of HSE programs in achieving Company goals and standards; provides summaries of program effectiveness and maturity.
* Develops and implements HSE policies and procedures in compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
* Develops HSE bulletins, policies, procedures and manuals.
* Represents the organization in industry safety and environmental groups and programs.
* Verifies HSE training materials support client and statutory requirements.
* Monitors contractor HSE performance.
* Supports development of budget for Corporate HSE; monitors budget to ensure cost effective operation.
* Maintains knowledge of applicable domestic and international regulations; verifies HSE policies, programs, and activities comply.
* Oversees audit program in support of company, customer and regulatory requirements for health, safety, and environmental programs.
* Schedules audits and special assessments of Company facilities, rigs and operational support locations.
* Audits adherence to established policies, processes, and procedures, and determines corrective actions for compliance

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

* Degree required- HSE or PSM related
* Must have 7-10 years' experience in regulatory compliance, HSE management, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant military experience
* Must possess an in-depth understanding of the of worldwide drilling operations, work cultures, and the risks associated with drilling operations.
* experience with drilling contractor, preferred.
* Leadership experience in root cause analysis-TapRoot®
* OHSAS 18000 Auditor a plus

**Must be willing to travel 25-50%
