An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate Golf Co-ordinator to join The Mere Resort as "Corporate Golf Co-ordinator". Ideally, we are looking for individuals who have a strong knowledge of Co-corporate golf day requirements, and the professionalism to build rapport with our clients, whether they be new enquiries or repeat bookings. As a corporate Golf Co-ordinator you will be responsible for liaising, booking and planning Golf days in line with client requirements, ensuring that The Mere meet all of their requirements.
The Role
* Respond to all group enquiries in a timely, confident and professional manner, displaying a clear and comprehensive knowledge of the hotel, its facilities and details, taking every opportunity to upsell.
* Record full and accurate details of guest requirements and bookings as per company and hotel procedure.
* To be creative in our commercial activity, by seeking out new ideas from events attended and competitor activity, and sharing these within the wider commercial team.
* Converting all provisional and tentative bookings adhering to the booking journey.
* Making clients aware of the full terms of business, including the cancellation policy and the need to confirm bookings prior to arrival.
* Ensuring all signed correspondence is received and recorded accordingly including deposit and payment terms.
* Conducting client "show rounds" professionally, taking every opportunity to upsell.
* Having knowledge of, and operating the hotels cash handling and security procedures.
* Promoting events for the hotel, maximising revenue through following standard sales practices.
* Liaising with Golf Operations team, communicating guest's requirements and details of forthcoming events.
The Ideal Candidate
* Computer literate
* Comprehensive and in depth knowledge of golf and corporate golf requirements
* Ideally, you will have experience working in a similar role
* Opera or similar booking system experience is desirable
* Strong communication skills
