CORPORATE BUSINESS MANAGER

LONDON - LOCAL AUTHORITY

£300 A DAY - 12 MONTHS

My client a large local authority within the London area is currently seeking an experienced Corporate Business Manager for a 12 month contract.

Main Duties and responsibilities:

TO SUPPORT THE COMMERCIAL BUSINESS PARTNERS TO CONTRIBUTE IN THE DELIVERY OF COST AND EFFICIENCY SAVINGS ACROSS THE COUNCIL THROUGH ANALYSING CURRENT SPEND INFORMATION TO DEVELOP CATEGORY STRATEGIES

WORK WITH THE SERVICE/OPERATIONAL AREAS, MANAGE A PORTFOLIO OF CONTRACTORS WITHIN THE PUBLIC HEALTH TEAM IN ACCORDANCE WITH BOTH CORPORATE AND SERVICE AIMS AND PRIORITIES

SUPPORT AND CONTRIBUTE TO THE SUCCESSFUL AND EFFECTIVE TRANSITION TO CATEGORY MANAGEMENT

PROVIDE EXPERT PROCUREMENT ADVICE AND SUPPORT TO SENIOR MANAGERS THROUGH THE COUNCIL

CATEGORISATION OF BASELINE INFORMATION ON CURRENT SPENDING, OPPORTUNITY ANALYSIS REPORTS DETAILING COST SAVINGS AND PROJECT PLANS

LEAD PROCUREMENT PROJECTS FROM START TO FINISH, ENGAGING WITH KEY USERS, CUSTOMERS AND SUPPLIERS TO DELIVER SUCCESSFUL CONTRACTS SAFEGUARDING AGAINST FINANCIAL AND ANY DAMAGE TO THE REPUTATION OF THE COUNCIL

The ideal candidate must have experience with the agenda for modernising local government, possess a CIPS qualification or a relevant degree and ideally have experience within Public Health either within a PCT or CCG or a local authority setting.
