Corporate and Commercial Lawyer Needed at Investment Bank

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Corporate and Commercial Lawyer at a leading brokerage in the City ofLondon. Reporting to the Director of Legal, you will be joining a team of 6 lawyers in providing support acrossLondonandEuropeon agreements, restructuring, regulatory, structured products and new business and offices.

Responsibilities:

-Advising on and implementing global restructures.
-Working with local counsel to advise on tax implications, structure, appropriate vehicles, currency control, financial regulation and other regulatory issues.
-Reviewing the terms of structured product trades.
-Negotiating distribution agreements, drafting and negotiating investor agreements.
-Reviewing and providing advice in relation to term sheets.
-Providing advice in relation to MIFID and FSA provisions impacting on the structured product desk.
-Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a variety of general commercial agreements including terms of business, broking, clearing, and prime brokerage agreements.

Requirements:

-A minimum of 8 years solid post qualification experience in private practice or within a financial services in house practice.
-Confidence to tackle wide range of legal documentation and relevant legal issues.
-Strong understanding of structured products.
