JOB TITLE: CORPORATE AFFAIRS CO-ORDINATOR

SALARY & BENEFITS: £20,985 - £23,604 DEO

WORKING HOURS: 37.5 hours per week-initial Fixed TERM 6 - 8 MONTH CONTRACT

THE ROLE: CORPORATE AFFAIRS CO-ORDINATOR

You'll be joining the Corporate Affairs Unit at the heart of a dynamic, growing organisation. This small, friendly Unit works directly with the CEO and Directors in setting the strategic direction for our business, in taking well-thought-through executive decisions, and in promoting quality, value and regulatory compliance among staff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE:- You'll be the administrative centre of the Unit, playing a critical role in making sure that key business gets done. Your work will be varied, hectic at times, and bring you into contact with colleagues at all levels across the whole organization. A typical week could include arranging executive board meetings (including preparing agendas for meetings and taking accurate minutes), producing presentation materials or reports, hosting visitors from external audit organisations, or making orders and scheduling payments. An important part of your work will be keeping on top of large volumes of information, actions and records by developing our use of spreadsheets and databases.

THE CANDIDATE: CORPORATE AFFAIRS CO-ORDINATOR

A versatile team player with a positive, 'can do' attitude, you will have prior experience of working in a busy office with senior management, and preferably experience in the sphere of education. Good written, oral and listening communication skills are essential, as is attention to detail. You will be well organised and have the confidence to work closely with, and provide an excellent service to, the CEO, Directors and senior managers.

KEY EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL FOR THE ROLE:

- Experience working in the busy environment of a Chief Executive's office or similar and of undertaking a wide range of administrative tasks
- A level (or equivalent) educated including GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English.
- Numeracy and ability to handle textual and numerical data
- Able to use range of computer software and databases effectively (eg. Microsoft Office suite, Access)
- Using databases, spreadsheets and other forms of electronic information management systems successfully as a tool to monitor and track information
- All aspects of running effective senior management meetings
- Administering ISO 9001 quality management systems is an advantage but not essential.
