Core Network Transport Engineer

Flint are seeking a Core Network Transport Engineer, for a 3 to 6 month engagement.

DESCRIPTION

Responsible for supporting the Core Transport Services Team in the technical planning and coordination of the service function they provide to our client

The key responsibilities and accountabilities are, but not limited to:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES

- Performance of planning activities in support of:
- Day-to-day troubleshooting and transport dimensioning;
- Planning and implementation support of Networks Integration Projects;
- Monitoring, analysis, and planning of Core Transport requirements in relation to forecast versus actual;

CERTIFICATIONS PREFERRED

CCCNP, CCIP, CCDP and JNCIA certified.

EXPERIENCE

You will have worked on

IP network design, planning, implementation, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and optimisation.

TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, routing and switching protocols, network security.

Mobile and ISP networks

OTHER

Cisco Routers such as ISR 29/3900, 7200, 7600, GSR/12k, CRS-1
Juniper Routers/JUNOS

Cisco Switches such as 6500, 4500 and Nexus
Cisco Firewalls (such as PIX/ASA/FWSM), Cisco Secure ACS
