Core Network Operations & Maintenance

CONSOL PARTNERS ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A MOBILE CORE OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE ENGINEER TO WORK FOR OUR CLIENT, AN INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNISED MOBILE OPERATOR. THE ROLE IS BASED IN BELGIUM AND THE CLIENT IS LOOKING TO HELP MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE RAPIDLY GROWING MODERNIZATION OF THE NETWORK.

JOB CONTENT

- Act as a(Mobile Data Core Operation) representative for projects.
- Document all the needs in specific documents.
- Define the Non Functional requirements .
- Respect commitments: Time - Budget - Scope.
- Implement project in UAT & production environment
- Create and share the project documentations inside the team.

Vendor management
- Follow up problems, reporting and provided solutions
- Collect information needed by the vendor to solve problems
- Co-ordinate vendor related issues, escalation of problems, vendor performances reporting and negotiation of contracts

Preventive maintenance
- Improve network quality and supervision.
- Analyze maintenance results in cooperation with team members, perform root cause analysis and implement improvement procedures.
- Support the study, definition, development and implementation of key tools, systems and processes for the domain systems and services.

Incident & problem management
- Provide Analytic troubleshooting in case of complex network problems or major failures.
- Organize the Second and Third lines maintenance in contact with Vendors,
- Lead Debriefing Projects
- Be part of the on-call rotation.

Collaboration with external teams
- Participate in project teams for seamless implementation of new hardware, software and technologies.
- Lead implementations according to quality standards
- Assure a high quality service to corporate customers and an efficient communication between the MDO team and the corporate technical groups, marketing and sales.

You have:
Knowledge of English is a MUST, other languages are plus (verbal and written)
Operational and theoretical knowledge of GSM, GPRS, UMTS & LTE technology, IP routing & switching, Firewall, equipment and measurement techniques, including maintenance of a telecommunications network.

Technical skills clonclude:
Cisco ASR5K SGSN, MME, GGSN et S/PGW
Cisco FWSM, CSM, CSG, ACE, CE, Switches 7600 & 6500, Routers
Juniper MX960 - CGN
Netscreen FW, Fortinet
F5 load-balancer and TCP optimizer
ALU PCRF
General knowledge of QoS
Knowledge of LTE/GPRS/UMTS/GSM/VoLTE
Experience with following IP protocols: OSPF, BGP, FTP, DNS, HTTP, ICMP
General protocols knowledge of Radius, Diameter, LDAP, DNS,
Knowledge of Tracing tools : Ethereal, tcpdump, snoop, NAM, Ngenius, Wireshark, OSIX.

Will be also taken into account:
Good knowledge of UNIX/Linux
Knowledge of roaming agreements IR24 & IR35
Scripting in BASH, Expect, MySQL, PHP
