CORE IP Engineer

My client is looking for a CORE IP Engineer to work on a very exciting new project in Austria.

Please note:

German language skills would be a big plus.

From time to time nightworks would be necessary.

The ideal candidate should have...

- familiar with daily operational tasks for IP core network

o analysis of logfiles,

o daily check of performance counters

o analysis of traces on the IP interfaces towards the involved network elements

o working on customer trouble tickets and being responsible also for vendor trouble tickets

- Engineering
- Testing of new SW and patches for the IP Core elements
- Testing and implementing of new features/functionalities/changes for the IP Core elements
- Overall:
- Strong knowledge of geographic distributed IP Networks
- Strongly experienced and working for several years in an operations or engineering role within a vendor or operator
- Strongy experienced with IP core network equipment (Cisco 76xx, 65xx, 25xx, ASR 9000, Huawei Eudemon 8080 Firewalls)
- Certification to prove IP knowledge similar to Cisco CCIE level
- Experienced with monitoring and troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, Netflow, PRTG, Cacti)
