Conversion Engineer

For this contract position with the leading Industrial Automation company, you will work for the Support and Maintenance Business. The CONVERSION ENGINEER will apply technical skills, engineering methodologies, and life cycle support competencies to solve customer problems and create a significant competitive advantage. The individual that can fill this position will need to be cross functional engineer with experience across multiple control platforms. This is necessary to allow the individual to review and act upon Bill of Materials, repair transactions, and customer's inventory to recommend client's product solutions from competitive product. This competitive product may be a consumable, a hi-tech consumable, or a repairable product offering. The focus is to recommend and implement as many product conversions from competitive to client product as possible during this inventory analysis. Examples of this recommendation would include technical suitability, cost/performance evaluation, technical trends, and migration considerations for the related product.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

- Knowledge of product offering
- Ability to travel to review a customer's inventory
- 4 year technical degree in Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with Engineering Field with Product Offerings
- Experience within Mechanical Space a plus

This contract position is expected to be 12 months in duration.
