Converged Infrastructure Vblock Administrator

NEXT VENTURES ARE CURRENTLY EXECUTING A SEARCH FOR A CONVERGED INFRASTRUCTURE (VBLOCK) ADMINISTRATOR

THE ROLE:

The Converged Infrastructure Administrator is responsible for maintaining and performing daily operational tasks of all infrastructure components (VMware, UCS, EMC Storage, Network) in Vblock.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform infrastructure provisioning tasks such as creating UCS service profiles, deploying/configuring ESXi, creating data stores, creating VLANs

Provisioning VMs

Monitoring Vblock components

End-to-end troubleshooting across all infrastructure components

Administer Vblock components using element managers (UCS Manager, vCenter Server, Unisphere, NXOS, DCNM)

In summary CIA will need a virtualization background and needs to have had a career in technology infrastructure, including experience with virtualization, compute, storage, and networking solutions. Key experiences should include implementation and management of complex enterprise-level virtualized infrastructure solutions in large corporate environments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

VCP certification is essential. VCAP advantageous.

Good understanding of Cisco UCS products

Good understanding of Cisco Nexus and Catalyst Switches

Good understanding of EMC storage products (VNXe, VNX, VMAX)

Cisco certified and EMC certified would be an advantage but not essential

Excellent customer facing skills

Strong communication skills.

Good mentoring/Coaching skills

Excellent documentation skills.

Understanding of ITIL foundations
