The Controls & Robotics Manager will have a varied role which includes setting up project strategy, manage all controls/robotic resources, support the sales estimating team, and understand the requirements for Hardware, Fluids, Software design. You will also be developing relationships with customers, promote other systems, work with the functional support team, and support all controls/robotics technical issues and the design and commissioning of PLC software. Customer liaison is another part of the role as is the ability to understand the financial implications and costs of projects, whilst maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. You will be reporting into the Engineering Manager and have numerous direct reports including project managers, controls engineers and team leaders. Interested? We are looking for an experienced Controls & Robotics Manager who has extensive experience of Body in White and PWT, proven project management background and commissioning experience. Have excellent market awareness of the major players within the robotics manufacturing sector, have strong experience in joining/welding technologies and SPR systems and motion control equipment. You will hold a qualification in electrical engineering and have an appreciation of the mechanical side. Ideally having qualifications in PLC programming, hands on practical experience and a project management qualification. The package on offer is up to £55,000 + Car + Fuel Card + BUPA + Pension.
