Controls Engineer - Cheltenham

Electrical Engineer - Cheltenham Working with a globally renowned design, developer and rapidly expanding manufacturer of a wide range of components, the business now requires an Electrical Engineer to manage and support all plant equipment, including PLC systems, robots, process controls and the introduction of Plant machinery. The successful candidate will also be required to have a high level of knowledge and understanding of machine safety systems, and have the ability to create and modify schematic drawings. The Role The successful candidate will have a high level of experience with the following systems: Thorough understanding of PLC systems, ideally Siemens S5 - S7 / Allen Bradley Logix 500. Networked systems including Profibus, Profinet and Ethernet. Safety PLC and associated function blocks. Robotic experience, ideally with Motoman Robots or ABB robots (S4C - IRC5). Create and modify schematic drawings using E-Plan CAD system. Support welding software equipment - Weldstar 2000 - 4000Aerospace, Automotive, General Manufacturing, Food / FMCG are welcomed The Package The company offers a salary of circa £ 38,500 p.a.
