Controls Engineer

A client of mine based in Essex have a requirement for a Control Systems Engineer to join them on an initial 6 month contract.

The main purpose of the role is to specify and design systems, and take responsibility for the engineering component of these systems, through to testing, commissioning and customer handover.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

- Assume technical lead for projects in addition to supporting other Systems, and Lead Project Engineers on all other company projects.
- Produce Functional Design Specifications from customer specifications
- Produce block diagrams, system schematics, bill of materials and cable schedules
- Program PLC, HMI & Scada Systems
- Produce technical documentation, including manuals and test procedures
- Assist with internal and customer Factory Acceptance Tests
- Travel worldwide to commission systems on board all types of vessels
- Attend meetings with customers and other departments on and off site
- Assist with the development and assessment of new products
- Follow schedules and tasks assigned by the Systems Engineering Manager

The hourly rate on offer is £25 - 32 P/H. Start ASAP.
