Controls Engineer

A key client based in Surrey is looking for a Controls and Instrumentation Engineer for an initial 3 month contract. You will be based out of their Surrey office but will be require to travel to site, UK wide. Ideally they would like someone to start within the next 4 weeks.

The role:

- My client is looking for someone who is experience in the full project life cycle of C&I
- You will be required to work as part of a small team.
- You role will include the design and test of new systems and well as programming, configuration and commissioning.
- The role requires onsite inspections within manufacturing facilities, investigating appropriate solutions, writing scope document and proposals, implementing and supporting the solution.
- Working closely with the development team to identify appropriate integration options with existing and new software applications.
- Working with clients to understand their requirements and clearly explain how to achieve them.

The Skills:

- Experience with the following PLC is preferable

o Siemens (S5, S7)

o Allan Bradley

o GE Fanuc

o Mitsubishi

- Experience with the following HMI is preferable

o Wonderware

o Cimplicity

o Simatic/Wincc

- Experienced in the physical implementation and integration of instrumentation (eg temp and pressure sensors, flow meters etc.), Controllers and HMI both new build and upgrading existing systems.
