CONTROLS ENGINEER

Austin Fraser are looking for an Experience CONTROLS ENGINEER for a 6 month+ contract to be based in the Midlands.

The engineering processes are varied in nature, ranging from hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, machine setting and PLC controls.

A sound knowledge of electrical engineering and various control systems is essential.

THE CONTROLS ENGINEER WILL BE:- - Fully conversant in Siemens S7 PLC (S7 200/300/400) & skilled to a programming level
- Good all round knowledge in the understanding & integration various control systems ie drives, vision & safety circuits
- Fully conversant in WinCC systems & other automation interfaces ie HMI's
- Good understanding of machine networking
- Be flexible and have experience of working in a fast moving environment
- Knowledge of AutoCAD

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide hands-on technical assistance to Production, Engineering and Quality.
- Understanding and being a resource for product trials and new machinery introductions ie machine sequence modifications, cycle time improvements, ensuring new machinery adheres to company standards.
- To maintain and adhere to department processes to ensure the validity of all machine programs
- Be analytical and innovative in the approach to fault finding and process recovery
