Controls Engineer

Yoh has a six (6) month contract opportunity for a CONTROLS ENGINEER to join our client in PARSONS, KS.

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Controls Engineer is responsible for production and design/installation/maintenance of administrative communications systems.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Reads and analyzes technical data packages
- Determines and designs what automated processes will be used in production of products
- Estimates costs of automated and electrical equipment
- Requests mechanical designs be completed for special equipment and orders electrical/electronic equipment
- Programs, installs and tests automated production equipment and assists in training operators
- Write reports

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
- Five to ten (5-10) years in electrical/electronic design in a production environment
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities to do the following:
- A/B PLC and GUI programming
- Microsoft Office & Wonderware
- Crystal Reports
- Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications
- Ability to use tools to adjust equipment as necessary
- Ability to design various devices for assembly and inspection operations
- Ability to write reports in detail documenting processes
- Ability to withstand environmental conditions and standing for long periods of time

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

- National Electric Code Certification desired
- Professional Engineering License desired
