Control Technician I

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a CONTROL TECHNICIAN I to join our client in MIDDLETOWN, IOWA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Under minimum supervision, performs complex programming tasks that may include items having distinctive features.
- Frequently works from verbal instructions.
- Works in close support with design originator or production personnel; may recommend minor design changes.
- May direct the work of maintenance personnel.
- Assures that he/she understands the necessity to continuously improve processes and systems under his/her control and meet customer needs, both internally and externally.
- Maintains familiarity with, observes and trains the staff in Safety, Environmental (RCRA), and Health requirements.

Job Qualifications:
- Associate's degree from two-year College or technical school in Industrial Technology.
- Requires six months experience in troubleshooting Microprocessor controlled industrial equipment.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, process controller documentation and ladder logic diagrams. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages. Ability to calculate the area, circumference, and volume of simple shapes. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) skills are required for this position.
- Requires the ability to read and interpret ladder logic diagrams and software documentation for Allen-Bradley and Siemens programmable logic controllers.
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Valid Driver's License is required.
- Government Secret Clearance may be required.
