Control Systems Engineer

Experienced Control Systems Engineer - Permanent - Dorset - £45,000

I am currently working with a client who is recruiting a control systems engineer. Emission control and clean air systems, providing quality products ranging from food processing, bio fuels and waste management. The company is a specialist in the following areas:

* Oil & Gas
* Petrochemicals
* Pharmaceutical
* Bio fuels
* Food processing

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist project managers in design of technical & quality tasks for project execution

* Manage and deliver allocated project tasks within prescribed targets
* Conduct equipment installations, constructing panels, mounting enclosures, and performing electrical connections
* Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair to ensure correct operation
* You will have the opportunity to work as part of both large and small project teams where you will be required to work under instruction and under your own initiative and to develop instruction for others where necessary.

Key Skills:

* Recognised Electrical Engineering qualifications
* Good practical understanding of instrumentation and control principles in modern automation settings
* A strong Electrical Engineering background with operational experience of
* A Self starter with the ability to use initiative and possibly run a team
* You will have Industry knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Oil & Gas, combustion, pharma, bio fuel
* Good practical understanding of instrumentation and control principles in modern automation settings.
* Demonstrable understanding/familiarity with PLC systems and programming (for example, Allen Bradley, Siemens, Schneider etc).
* PLCs, DCS, controllers, SCADA systems, fieldbus systems, communication protocols.
Involved in the production of URS, FDS, SDS, FAT and SAT and other specifications.
