Control Systems Engineer

My Client is looking for A Control Systems Engineer for a Contract position based in the Midlands.

The Engineer should - *Be qualified to at least HNC level.
*Have a good knowledge and understanding of PLC software Schneider (Modicon) and/or Siemens S7 PLCs.
*Have a good knowledge and understanding of electrical engineering for medium and low voltage power distribution.
*Be able to work under own initiative, be well motivated and enthusiastic, with the ability to communicate with other engineering disciplines within the design/project team. Engineers will be required to interface with the client and other project partners at all levels.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications - *A good degree in electrical/electronic engineering together with chartered status or the potential to acquire chartered status
*A knowledge of any of the following: -
*Other brands of PLC including Rockwell
*FactoryLink and InTouch SCADA packages
*A working knowledge of AutoCad.
*Experience of working to quality assurance systems certified to ISO9001.

Responsibilities - *Development and maintenance of PLC software.
*Ability to follow design quality procedures in an auditable manner.
*Electrical engineering for power distribution and control.
*Liaison with the CAD Designers.
*Interfacing of control systems.
*Liaison at all levels with customers and other project partners.
*Testing and commissioning at the customers' site.
*Project Engineering of smaller to moderate sized projects.
