Control System Engineer

I am actively recruiting for a Control System Engineer The role will be an initial 6 month contract working on the latest software and equipment for airport luggage systems. Please send your CV if you are interested. Below is a Job Spec for the role: The role will require working on projects using PLC control, MIS and SAC systems and other electrical equipment. Reporting to the technical manager, the controls engineer provides the following functions: * Design and delivery of controls activities for projects * Awareness of commercial conditions and contract obligations for projects. * Application of department design processes and procedures * Commissioning of systems at client sites, UK and overseas The role demands a high level of technical ability, attention to detail and quality of output, the controls engineer is responsible for: * Liaising with clients/customers and control of subcontractors * Production and control of documents specified for project delivery * Control system design and delivery * Production of FDS and all necessary supporting documents * Interface specifications and technical documents as required * Control panel design with assistance of CAD engineers * PLC* Degree level qualification in engineering (or equivalent) * HNC level qualifications in Engineering, (or equivalent) * Knowledge and experience of the application of BS7671, BSEN60204, BSEN13849, BSEN61439, Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC * Demonstrable experience in electrical and controls systems design and application. * Knowledge of the requirements for PLC programming would be advantageous. E.g.
