Control Room and Governance Lead - 6 month contract - Glasgow

Our client, a world leading finance and investment manager is seeking to recruit a Counterparty Control and Governance Lead with experience implementing internal controls within the investment sector. This is a 6 month contract that will be Glasgow based.

The team is tasked with producing timely, accurate and complete credit metrics for use across the organisation. You will sit as part of a control governance team which is responsible for the smooth and compliant running of the production day. You will focus on providing greatly enhanced risk delivery and quality control obligations, designed to ensure that the risk management function receives the level of service required in response to the demanding regulatory environment.

The role carries a significant amount of responsibility where you will use your judgement and integrity to make decisions in a heavily regulated sector.

The successful candidate is likely to come from an investment background. You should have a background working in Credit Risk or Market Risk and be able to display strong knowledge across governance/monitoring processes in relation to financial risk. Candidates who are able to display knowledge of governance processes in relation to financial/regulatory reporting would be preferred. Candidates should also have strong product knowledge across Derivatives and Equities.
