Control and Instrumentation Engineer - Nigeria

A Control and Instrumentation Engineer is required to work in Nigeria on a long term contract for this global engineering consultancy business within the food process sector.

The Control and Instrumentation Engineer will provide instrument project engineering services for th design, development, production, manufacture, testing and commissioning of control systems at the client site and at customers overseas locations, therefore the successful Control and Instrumentation Engineer will be willing and able to travel.

The Control and Instrumentation Engineer will hold a degree or equivalent in an appropriate electrical, controls and instrumentation related discipline along with:

- Knowledge of Intergraph, SmartPlant Instrumentation along with strong PLC, SCADA programming experience would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of digital bus systems such as Profibus PA and ASi bus together with a general understanding of control systems
- Ability to interrogate AutoCad 2004
- Experience at senior level on large multidiscipline projects

The successful application will have Engineer Instrumentation packages from PandI Ds and functional design specifications.

- Design and construct flexible PLC based control systems.
- Support on-site commissioning of instrument systems at customer's overseas locations.
- Define scope and cost of instrumentation packages.
- Assist the design office with detail designs, drawings and technical information.
- Support the Customer's engineering facilities to clarify and answer technical queries related to instrument supply and installation.
- Liaise with other discipline engineers to ensure the design parameters, specifications and
- standards set, for instrument packages are maintained.
- Provide support and training to in-house colleagues as part of on-going development and
- improvement of instrument packages.
