CONTRACTS OFFICER - UK MOD CONTRACTING AND DEFCONS

Contracts officer with UK MoD Contracting and DEFCONs is required to work on a six month contract (with the chance of extension) for our Defence client based in South Wales

This is a 6 month contract working for a leading defence company

OVERVIEW OF THE CONTRACTS OFFICER CONTRACT ROLE

Able to negotiate resulting contract offers and ensure flow down of Terms and Conditions to Sub Contractors. Delivering timely and accurate bids and proposals for the business through commercial governance and configuration control processes and managing contractual arrangements, including the management of change.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE CONTRACTS OFFICER

- Working knowledge of ITAR regulations
- Strong communication skills at all levels
- Excellent team player with the ability to influence.
- Experience of working with the MOD, or within the Defence industry
- Understanding of technical documents from a Commercial perspective
- Experience in Government terms and conditions (eg DEFCONs, FARs, DFARs)

The role is based in South Wales - commutable from Abergavenny, Ebbw Vale, Merthyr Tydfil, Aberdare, Pontypridd, Newport, Caldicot, Usk, Chepstow, Monmouth, Cwmbran, Blackwood, Pontypool and Abertillery with excellent access from Hereford, Ross-on-Wye, Cheltenham, Gloucester,
