CONTRACTS NEGOTIATOR - DUBLIN - 450 EUROS PER DAY
AN EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY HAS ARISEN WITH A GLOBAL BRAND FOR A CONTRACTS NEGOTIATOR TO WORK ON A 6 MONTHS CONTRACT. THIS IS A HIGH PROFILE GLOBAL PROJECT!
The IT Contracts Negotiator will perform the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
Review, draft, and negotiate major technology contracts (software, hardware, software-as-a-service, cloud, hosting, consulting services, and telecommunications).
Participate and lead sourcing and RFx activities (RFPs, RFIs, RFQ's, etc.) and evaluate vendor scorecards; perform vendor benchmarking analysis.
Provide advice and contract interpretation on the provisions of specific agreements as well as legal issues that might impact IT and the business organizations
Secure proper approval on nonstandard legal, financial, information security, technical and business issues raised in contract documents
Review, analyze and maintain standard contracts and other IT documents.
Participate on departmental and cross-functional teams focused on continuous process improvement
Assure conformity and consistency in application of legal, privacy and security policies and practices
Monitor compliance with existing contractual obligations; monitor supplier performance and track cost savings opportunities
Other duties as assigned
Reports to Senior Category Manager, Technology, Global Procurement
QUALIFICATIONS
Business/Legal Knowledge. The individual will have direct work experience which provides an understanding of most relevant contracting principles and experience applying this knowledge to contracting activities.
Communication and Influence. The individual will have strong communication skills, including the ability to professionally and concisely communicate (in writing and verbally) complex legal and business issues with senior staff both inside and outside the company.
Critical Thinking. The individual will have a track record of conducting careful and thoughtful analysis of complex technology agreements and the ability to weigh and articulate the risk and reward of various scenarios.
Documented experience handling technology contracts (including software, hardware, software-as-a service, cloud, hosting, consulting services, and telecommunications).
Experience assuming a leading role in RFx activity.
The ability to read and understand standard information technology contract provisions
The ability to draft and negotiate language (including preparation of all contract redlines)
Direct experience negotiating high value IT transactions with major suppliers (eg IBM, Oracle, Microsoft, etc.)
