MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE MANAGING CONTRACTS AND PERFORMANCE WITH CONSTRUCTION

The Contracts Manager/Performance Manager must have experience of:

- Contract Management
- Change Management
- Construction Project Management at a senior level
- Amending Performance Reporting to construction related commercial performance management

Contracts Manager/Performance Manager.

The purpose of the Contracts Manager/Performance Manager is:

To lead the development of and continuous review of appropriate contract management performance measures, robust improvement plans, benefit tracking processes and best practice sharing across capital Delivery to outperform the RIIO challenges and ensure the effective management of contractors.

Experience Required of the Contracts Manager/Performance Manager
*Experience of Team Management, coaching and development of staff.
*Experience of successful multiple project delivery and team leadership skills. Ability to produce work of a high standard to tight deadlines
*Extensive commercial and contract strategy experience.
*Commercial acumen, including procurement and supply chain processes in a contractor/partner environment.

Responsibilities of the Contracts Manager/Performance Manager:
*Strong negotiating and influencing skills
*Effective communication skills including the ability to make persuasive presentations to small and large audience
*Able to demonstrate initiative, sound judgment and problem solving.
*Track record of developing working relationships quickly and effectively both internally and externally.
*Ability to bring creative and innovative new approaches to the business.

Key Skills of the Contracts Manager/Performance Manager:
*Determine and keep under review with Project Controls the appropriate measures to be reported from the Primavera contract manager tool
*Determine and keep under review with Delivery Units the appropriate KPIs to be implemented and measured to drive contractor's performance.
*Continuously review Capital Delivery's performance in managing its contracts and highlight areas of best practice and under performance
*Identify with the DUs opportunities to share best practice and improvement action plans
*Measure improvements and resulting benefits in managing contracts
*Develop and implement with the DUs a process for the alliances to submit, agree and monitor their contractual "Efficiency Review" commitment
*Determine with Internal Audit and Head of Assurance a risk based level 2 and 3 commercial assurance plan
