Contracts Manager, Med Affairs Job

CONTRACTS MANAGER, MED AFFAIRS needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in South San Francisco, CA.

The Big Picture:

- Manage overall contract triage process
- Assist with the implementation and management of any other initiatives
- Support the HEOR group with accruals, budget planning and quarterly reforecasting

What You'll Be Doing:

- Manage overall contract triage process within the MUs to ensure timely contract review and decision by the appropriate contracting group (analyze, communicate, track)
- Ensure that all vendor contracts are assessed to determine if the contract is subject to the managed care vendor assessment process and associated fair market value (FMV) evaluation, and manage relevant contracts through the process
- Assist with the implementation and management of any other initiatives that may impact triage and/or evaluation of Medical Affairs contracts
- Support the HEOR group with accruals, budget planning and quarterly reforecasting exercises (Target rounds)
- Will act as the single point of contact for HEOR group, to provide updates
- Develop financial templates to increase efficiency in planning, tracking and reporting of MU budgets and forecasts, in collaboration with gMed Finance team

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

- Proficiencies with various contract management systems
- Must demonstrate understanding of product and safety profiles
- A minimum of ten (10) years total work experience with at least five (5) or more years relevant experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology or related industries
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding objectives and goals
- Outstanding attention-to-detail
- Good business acumen
- Proven project and process management skills
- Strong financial acumen: capable of effective planning and oversight for large-scale project budgets
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good interpersonal and influencing skills: Can effectively and quickly establish rapport with all key internal/external partners and stakeholders and influence without authority
- Good negotiation skills: can drive discussions and decisions toward desired results within and outside of the project team
- Works well within teams and is effective in collaborating with others internally and externally

Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred Qualifications:

- Finance and/or large-scale budget development, management and administration experience is strongly preferred
- Bachelors Degree (life sciences or related disciplines) or equivalent
