Contracts Manager - Acute Contract Experience Required

JOB TITLE: CONTRACTS MANAGER

LOCATION: OXFORD, OXFORDSHIRE

CONTRACT: 2- 3 MONTHS (WITH POSSIBLE EXTENSION)

KEY TASKS AND DELIVERABLES

PLANNING

Provide senior advice and guidance to support development and production of contract strategy;

Support the creation and implement a commissioning and contracting framework to support the negotiation and management of all contracts

Provide senior support and experience as required in service specification development, redesign and service improvement discussions to help ensure that the best value for money and highest quality health services are secured within the available budget;

CONTRACT NEGOTIATION AND MANAGEMENT

Accountable for providing an expert and complete overview of provider performance, including contracted areas such as quality, cost and volume, as well as a focus on wider quality and assurance issues, including patient experience and mortality rates

Responsibility for in-year performance of one or more contracts, exploiting all available levers to ensure that productivity and efficiency measures are delivered;

Lead responsibility for operational contract management and reporting including clinical quality and KPI's on behalf of customers;

To produce monthly contract performance and activity analysis and overview, with in depth review of key challenges;

Provide senior support to other members of the team as part of organisational development;

Co-ordinate/plan the annual contract negotiations ensuring robust systems are in place to secure year on year improvement in quality, outcomes and value for money from contract performance, for an agreed portfolio of contracts;

Plan and initiate the annual contract negotiations and in-year contract changes

Responsible for the development of agreements that match planning assumption in accordance with national directives, policy changes and local aims, ensuring contracts are
