My client, a leading public sector organisation, is seeking to recruit a skilled Contracts Manager to join their technical division in London. As a Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of contracts as well as to lead negotiations with providers. The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience in acute contracts management.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
*Manage your own portfolio of contracts including acute associate contracts
*Lead negotiations with providers - Contribute to a range of ambitious service developments (eg Integrated Care)
*Develop and analyse performance reports, identifying key anomalies and variances - To support the annual contract negotiation cycle, taking account of commissioning intentions and guidance, and ensuring targets and standards are complied with.
*Lead negotiations with providers and ensure that baselines set are affordable and realistic.
*Develop exception reports and action plans that deal effectively with over-performance against plan.
*Lead discussions at contract forums such as Service Performance Review Meetings (SPR), Clinical Quality Review Meetings (CQRM) and Technical Groups.
*Work closely with the Quality Directorate to ensure that contractual clauses are monitored, enforced and reported on
*Ensure that commissioning intentions and service specifications are complied with and that contractually agreed service development plans are implemented in an effective way.
*Lead and manage team members within a Matrix management structure, where there can be multiple points of accountability.
*To collate and analyse information and highlight contractual and performance concerns.
*Assess and act on information which highlights clinical or corporate risk.
Key Knowledge and Skills
*Acute Contracts Management Experience within the NHS
*Experience of working for a public sector organisation
*Understanding of healthcare commissioning
