Contracts Manager

A Contracts Manager/Project Controls Lead is required on a long term contract basis to lead contracts administration and negotiations on a major new build Headquarters building in the UK.

Incorporating R&D, laboratories, offices and infrastructure, this project is anticipated to exceed £200 million in value, making it one of the highest profile schemes in the life sciences industry.

Acting as client Representative for contracts and Project controls, you will be accountable for managing the contracts/project controls from design to completion, including the management of appointed EPCM Company and subsequent second party suppliers/subcontractors.

Key duties to include:

Cost and financial management
Value Engineering
Contract negotiation
Contract administration both hands on and in a supervisory capacity.
Identifying best contract solutions and measures are in place to ensure value for money and cost control.
Key stakeholder interface with internal clients, larger project team and design/construction company senior management
Team management of specialists, where required, throughout the project.

Requirements
Extensive experience of contract negotiation and administration
Experience of bringing £100 million + construction projects from design and pre contract phase to completion.
Client side experience.
